Hypnosis & EFT
What is Hypnosis?
Have you ever been immersed in a movie or a good book that you simply forget your surroundings? Have you ever driven to your destination not remembering how you got there, just because you were focused on other thoughts? Or that wonderful sensation of relaxation that you feel right before you fall sleep or upon awakening? These are all forms of hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and calmness. In hypnosis the conscious mind and the body are physically relaxed and the subconscious mind is in a heightened state of focus, and more receptive to positive suggestions. In fact the mind is more alert than in the normal state of awareness.
Hypnosis is often referred to as a “trance-like state,” where one can intensely focus on a specific thought, feeling or a sensation while blocking out the normal distractions of the mind.
Hypnosis is the best tool available to make changes and dramatically improve you life. It is considered to be the most effective therapy to achieve results in a very short period of time.
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses hypnosis to access the subconscious mind, the most powerful part of you, to create the change you desire in your life.
Hypnotherapy sessions is combining the powerful effect of hypnosis in a safe, confidential, and comfortable environment. Each therapy session starts with a cognitive discussion about your goals and desires, followed by hypnosis to instruct your subconscious mind to support those goals, and desires.
Subsequent sessions that follow allows time for cognitive discussion to ensure the therapy is in line with the desired goals.
Why Hypnotherapy?
"The truth is that we can learn to condition our minds, bodies, and emotions to link pain or pleasure to whatever we choose. By changing what we link pain and pleasure to, we will instantly change our behaviors." ~Tony Robbins
Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT (often known as Tapping or EFT Tapping), is a universal healing tool that works with the body's energy system. EFT is a method of tapping with the fingertips at the end-points of the body's energy meridians, while tuned into a problem. In doing so, we balance the energy disruption that continues to trigger the problem.
Hypnosis in conjuction with EFT can relieve issues that would literally take years in traditional therapy.

Facts & Myth About Hypnosis
While hypnosis has gained popularity in recent years, its use goes back farther than you might think. Hypnosis has been dated back to ancient Egypt where it was used for greater understanding of human mind, and theraputic practices. In the early 1800s hypnosis has been used as a form of anesthesia, known as hypnoanesthesia. The work of Franz Mesmer, amongst others, can be seen as the first flourish of the “scientific” viewpoint of hypnosis. Mesmer was the first to propose a rational basis for the effects of hypnosis. Mesmer was also the first to develop a consistent method for hypnosis, which was passed on to and developed by his followers. In 20th Century, all the most significant breakthroughs about hypnosis took place. This was largely due to the work of therapists such as Milton H. Erickson. Since then hypnosis is regarded as a tool for easing psychological distress and bringing about profound change in a variety of situations.
The American Medical Association and American Psychological Association recognized and approved hypnotherapy as a valid medical as a valid medical treatment in 1958 . Since 1995, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has recommended hypnotherapy as a treatment for chronic pain. And research continues to show that hypnosis is very effective in addressing medical, dental, psycological, and even spiritual issues.
The media and the entertainment industry have been a major contributor to a wide misunderstanding about the true nature of hypnosis. People often fear that once hypnotized, they will lose control, be dominated, and be under the "spell" of the hypnotist. Although you may see that in stage acts which are solely for entertaniment purposes, it is far from the truth. Unfortunatley, stage acts help create a myth about hypnosis and its benefits, which in turn discourages people from seeking legitimate hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy sessions are conducted in a therapeutic process and each individual is an active participant in the therapy. Hypnosis is a natural state of the mind, and with the help of a certified professional, and combined with effective suggestions, the individual can achieve desired changes.
